My absolute favorite at the moment goes to Sergei Poluni, the bad boy of ballet, and David La Chapelle movie, a fashion photographer and movie maker who also has a passion for Dance.( cf: his movie Rize )... He is interpreting a Jade Hale-Christofi's choreography on " Take me to church" by Hozier.
The common point between dancing and fashion is that when a body is in movement it's an alive body, that's why dance and fashion are very often combined in advertising, shows and happening. Thus, some very recent examples:
- Recent Sergei Poluni performance for Port 1961 in Milan's men's fashion week.
- Lil Buck & Barishnikov for Rag & Bones advertising.
- Misty Coperland playing the role of Degas' ballerina for Harper's Bazaar wearing dye for Valentino's dresses !
